Follow-up of the site’s life

December 2006

SPIP provides a number of different methods to help users to follow the activity of your site. Depending on their needs, the users can use them with their preferred software so that they may easily be informed about new content published on your Web site.

  • The follow-up by email of the editorial activity is simplified since SPIP 1.7: you can provide the address of a mailing-list where SPIP will send emails notifications. All the participants of that list will be automatically informed of updates on your site.
  • The backend file can provide XML syndication and automatic notification of site updates in the visitor’s newsreader. With the default template (dist), the user can automatically discover the RSS file and access the site updates provided by the backend template.
